ONDA SONORA
Onda Sonora started in 2000 as a small party in a town 15km south of Brussels. The next couple of years it evolved into something very remarkable yet hardly noticed by the established Belgian club scene. Many national (Red D, Lefto) and international (Trus’me, Red Astaire, Benji B, …) DJ found an open and up for it crowd at their parties way before they got recognised by a wider audience. Giving the parties a reputation among the connoisseurs.

Which was appreciated but in the meanwhile gave them a taste for more. More ways to express themselves, more people they could preach their gospel to. So they moved to Brussels, began a radio show on fm brussel, developed a blog / website, started a series of parties (Go Bang!, Over & Over, Our Party, RELEASE) and claimed their spot in the nightlife of the Belgian capital. Still far from on the mainstream radar (and not seeking to be either) but doing their thing and doing it well. Building a small community of likeminded souls around them. People looking for a good time on quality soulful music but with an adversity to the obvious, the hype and already done.

ONDA SONORA SOUNDSYSTEM
The core duo and founding members of Onda Sonora. They started as the nameless resident DJs at the Onda Sonora parties but got asked to export their skills to other events creating a need for a name which, keeping it simple, became Onda Sonora Soundsystem.

Never being good at focussing they’ve always been playing genre-wise across the board sets. For lack of a better name calling their style original soulful music with an edge. This can be about everything from Soul, Funk, Hiphop, Reggae, Disco, Boogie, House, Broken Beat and beyond. To be able to play all this they do like to play long sets. Giving them room to switch between moods, tempos and genres. Never playing it safe but always aiming to get people dancing.
