OUR PARTY. SPECIAL GUEST SEAN P.

It’s been a while since the first OUR PARTY of 2011 but luckily the waiting is almost over. On March 19th we’ll all be hyped and ready to party with lots of other lovely people onto the best soulful music around, played through the best sounding system you’ve heard in and around Brussels.

This time we’ve invited a very special guest to help us select the finest tunes to dance to. One of our personal heroes as DJs / collectors.

SEAN P is an absolute authority when it comes to 70s and 80s dance music. Having been the selector, often together with Joey Negro, for compilations on labels like BBE (Disco Spectrum), Strut (Disco Not Disco), Z Records (The Soul Of Disco) and most recently Claremont 56 (Originals). He’s also known for his ability to edit tracks with potential into certified dance floor monsters. You’ll find them on the albums mentioned before or on a label like Tirk.

Last year he got us dancing so hard in Southport and London that we had to bring him over to share that joy with y’all. We also realise this is a far more enjoyable way to hear how good he is than our constant raving about it when you’re trying to enjoy your beer on a weekend night (sorry to all who had to endure that more than once).

Support DJs will be the Onda Sonora Soundsystem and Nick Blow. At least, if we can get them off the dance floor that is.

Entrance fee stays at 5€. Our selection of drinks was well appreciated if the amounts you drank last time is anything to go by. So we’re not changing that either. Excellent wines and beers in glasses it is.

And we’ll bring out the by now fine-tuned Funktion One sound system / UREI rotary mixer again. We know there are others using F1s in Brussels but we’re sure they never sounds as good as at OUR PARTY.

Address:
Belle-Vue
Henegouwenkaai 43 Quai de Hainaut
1080 Brussels.

We start at 10pm.
