This Weekend.

You might still be suffering from last weekend’s excesses but that’s no reason to not look forward to the next one. Because it’ll be a wild one.

We’ll start it at Bonnefooi on Thursday where our 22tracks co-selector will have the first of his “On-Point presents …” parties. With Jeremy Sole as special guest. Really looking forward to this not only because we‘re a bit biased about bearded DJs but we’ve heard many great things about the man.

On Friday the extended Onda Sonora crew (including Dieter) will join Sofie from L-fêtes behind the decks at K-Nal [F]estival. That’s the summer do of the Libertine / Supersport people. Always an honour to play there. A good occasion to drop some ultra-hot Disco, Boogie and vintage House vinyl. Be prepared to get sweaty.

On Saturday we’ll be partying somewhere in the fields around Brussels celebrating a good friend’s birthday but those not invited to this we recommend the High Needs Low party at K-Nal [F]estival.

On Sunday we’ll be playing quite early (14h15) in the afternoon at Piknik Musik in Leuven. A lovely line-up of DJs, good food, free entrance in a Park. We feel a bit sorry we can’t stay there until the end because we want to catch Lander Gyselinck with Georgia-Ann Muldrow and Dudley Perkins at Brosella. More quality free music. There’s also the daftly titled ‘Sint-Gillis Loves Funk’ curated bij Stijn with JtotheC performing at Maison Du Peuple and the On-Point Soundsystem closing off the event.

On the Flemish national holiday (for once I’m happy to be Flemish enough to get the day off) the Ancienne Belgique and Bonnefooi are having a musical day with gigs (74 Miles Away a.o.), music market and more in the street they both share (Steenstraat that is).

Might take Tuesday off too, haha.
