In Case You Wondered …

About time we announce so new things on this slice of the web. We’ve not been hibernating but preparing our next moves and that takes a little time. But it’ll be worth the wait, trust us.

What will you be able to expect from us in the weeks to come? Well, we’ll announce the date of the next big RELEASE event at Beursschouwburg, we’ll present a new concept called RELEASE sessions and we’ll start putting mixes online on a regular basis.

For that last thing we’re looking for beats and music of course but also for dj’s who are willing to make a mix consisting of mainly Belgian bedroom productions. We don’t mind some exoticness but it should be in context. For instance if it’s something released on an underground Belgian label it fits nicely or if it’s from a really exotic place. We wouldn’t mind to get a mix giving us a view on the Latvian or any other not so well-documented scene of bedroom producers. But in the first place we would love to get some mixes with Belgian underground music made with a bedroom producer spirit from Belgian dj’s. Because this will open our view and that of our public. We don’t claim to know it all and welcome what extends our knowledge. Get in touch with us if interested to participate to this.

One thing that’s already running is the weekly RELEASE pick on LDBK radio, our partner Laid Back’s online radio station. Every week we’ll pick a track by a bedroom producer and present it decently. That means you’ll hear one of us introducing the track after which it’ll be played in full length. We’ll try to accompany every track with a little profile and additional info on the site. A site which will be renewed, revamped and so on soon. The first track which has been aired (or however you might call that on online radio) was Title’s “Caravan”, the only true RELEASE hit so far, the second one will be Dyno’s “Furbee”. Check it out on LDBK radio and feel free to suggest tracks, comment or simply hook us up with your music.

Something you shouldn’t stop doing. Because we keep on playing those tracks in our regular sets and radio shows too. Our motto will always be “If we like it, We play it” so we don’t feel limited to playing it in a RELEASE context alone. Send your music to this email address.
