OUR PARTY last Saturday was a blast. Full house, lots of people enjoying themselves and DJs playing really nice sets. I think this edition came closest to what we aspired to when starting OUR PARTY.

This was actually the first time we were satisfied with the sound. Not to say the previous ones were bad but perfectionists as we are, it took us some time to get it really right. And we got the hang of playing with the UREI rotary. The lights were perfect for the mood, keeping it dark but not too dark. In touch to what most of our favourite DJs tell us; ‘Sound first, lights last’.

There is little I can’t be anything but happy about. It was a great night. But it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of many friends. Everybody who has helped us, many times even without having to ask, deserves a big hug. We’ll try to give them in person the next few weeks. Haha. Your generosity is as essential as the records the DJs play in making this party work. Also a big thanks to Laurent and his lovely girlfriend for the excellent pre-party pinchos. Big up also to Cantucci for the excellent wines, Soundsystem.be for the excellent sound service and to our bouncer.

Rests me to thank all the dancers & drinkers. You made the party so much fun. Saw a lot of friends and people I would love to be friends with. A big up too to our DJs too. Phil Asher of course, for the wicked set, but also Jonathan for the great warming up and Nick for closing the party. A last thanks to all who organized the party. Dieter, Yoeri, Lieve, Nick, Jonathan and myself. We did a mighty fine job. If I say so myself.

For those wanting to relive the experience or those wondering what I’m raving about. I’ve uploaded most of our, aka Onda Sonora Soundsystem’s, set. Divided into 2 parts because of the length and minor technical troubles with the recorder. If you need some visual aid to imagine the vibe of the party check the photos here. Enjoy.

Up to the next OUR PARTY. That will be at the same venue on December 18th. No special guest this time, only the resident DJs.
