This Friday we organise, together with Veals & Geeks record store, the first edition of the Brussels Record Social Club. A get together in a record store to have a beer and a chat with fellow music enthusiast while enjoying music. This to meet new people and discover music we’ve never heard before. Basically what we did before internet became so overwhelmingly important and at the same time a bit too constrictive despite its endless possibilities and vast amount of information. As with a lot of what we do a step back to the analogue days. Not because we think the digital is bad but rather because neither of both is perfect but together they get us somewhere. And because we like to have endless discussions about ludicrous music facts while having a beer or wine (Orval, Taras Boulba and a nice red wine will be available).
In our radio show this week we play some records we’ve discovered this way and share stories about the good old days and stores that helped us get the collection we have now.
Listen again to the show all week long.
