Onda Sonora Picks Week 17. Champion Sound Beat Battle.

This week we will talk about the Champion Sound Beat Battle where one of us is part of the jury, together with Lefto and Mathieu Fonsny, and we will play some of the interesting records we picked up in shops last few weeks. In this week’s picks a selection of beat from previous battles.

Winner of the first beat battle. The one year Bart wasn’t part of the jury but a good choice nevertheless. 🙂

Runner-up of the second beat battle. Always a force to reckon with.

Freddy Bracker – Throughout The Night With Gold And Brown
Winner of the second battle. Killed it with among other beats this amazing flip of a Stranglers sample.

NAG – Body Call
Again runner up in the third Champion Sound Beat Battle. Curious if he can finally win the title this year.

Pippin – Mafia
Came out of nowhere and grabbed the top spot. Absolute discovery and surprise, which we hope inspired others to come out of the dark or step up their game.
